Intelibs GPS over Fiber systems are designed to lower total cost of ownership. Optional Power over Ethernet (PoE) models can save up to 50% of TCO by reducing the need for electrical construction, utility metering and permits.

For large deployments with GPS receivers in multiple rooms, the scalable architecture, including Fiber Distribution Units (FDU) and Coax Distribution Units (CDU), can reduce TCO by more than five times compared with traditional solutions.

  • Intelibs Front End Unit

    FEU

    Front End Unit

    Connects to the rooftop GPS antenna and converts the GPS radio signal to light for the BEU. Available with four GPS ports or as a compact two-port model, both in NEMA-4 enclosures.

  • Intelibs Back End Unit

    BEU

    Back End Unit

    Sits next to the GPS receiver equipment, such as a BTS or server, converting the optical signal back to RF and forwarding it over coax to the receiver.

    FDUs and CDUs serve many receivers from one FEU, with hot-standby redundancy.

  • Remote monitoring

    A Web/SNMP-based portal shows system status in real time, including GPS reception at the FEU.
